Loon Island Capital, LLC, was formed in 2015 by Principal Roger Young.
Mr. Young comes to real estate investing after a long career in education. He has been a leader at all levels demonstrated by positions such as Captain and MVP – Men’s Soccer, USM; Science Department Chair and Coach of the Year (soccer) – Windham HS; President – Windham Educators Assoc.; Treasurer – Maine Education Association; Chair, Board of Trustees – Maine Education Association Benefits Trust (Health insurance provider for most Maine educators). Mr. Young is an experienced leader with outstanding communication skills and a reputation for integrity that is trusted.
Continuing Education
Mr. Young engages in Professional Development by attending conferences locally, as well as in places such as Dallas, TX, and San Francisco, CA. He is a member of an educational platform called Fortune Builders, which provides access to coaching, online courses, and peers nationwide. Mr. Young also regularly consults with a local mentor with decades of Real Estate and Private lending experience.
Experience
Mr. Young has been engaging in private lending with his funds since 2012. He founded Loon Island Capital, LLC, in 2015 to run his own successful private lending company. Currently, Loon Island Capital funds over 30 deals per year, worth more than $6 million annually. My Young is confident in the quality of the deals his company makes, as evidenced by his investment in each deal. Mr. Young is a member in good standing of the American Association of Private Lenders.
