Loon Island Capital, LLC, was formed in 2015 by Principal Roger Young.
Mr. Young comes to real estate investing after a long career in education. He has been a leader at all levels demonstrated by positions such as Captain and MVP – Men’s Soccer, USM; Science Department Chair and Coach of the Year (soccer) – Windham HS; President – Windham Educators Assoc.; Treasurer – Maine Education Association; Chair, Board of Trustees – Maine Education Association Benefits Trust (Health insurance provider for most Maine educators). Mr. Young is an experienced leader with outstanding communication skills and trusted integrity.
Continuing Education
Mr. Young engages in Professional Development by attending conferences locally as well as places like Dallas, TX and San Francisco, CA. He is a member of an education platform called Fortune Builders that allows access to coaching, online courses, and peers across the country. Mr. Young also regularly consults with a local mentor with decades of Real Estate and Private lending experience.
Experience
Mr. Young has been doing private lending with his own money since 2012. He founded Loon Island Capital, LLC to run his own successful private lending company in 2015. Currently Loon Island Capital is funding 20+ deals per year worth over $3 million dollars annually. My Young is confident in the quality of the deals his company does as exhibited by putting some of his own money in each deal.
